Euphemism I've seen a couple of anal retentive old curmudgeons that would follow along with the outline when a public talk was being given but it's very rare and by no means official policy. There's really no need any way, most of these talks have been given dozens of times and people know pretty much what should be in it.

Witnesses Catch the "Soviet Disease"
by metatron inmany of you who come to this site, no doubt, are deeply concerned about the future of the organization.
in addition,.
not a few who post here would like to see the watchtower society fade away into history.

I watched both, and so did several other people that I know. No one in my areas has said anything negative that I've heard.

Movement to 'Draft" Hillary
by Guest 77 insome months ago i heard that hillary will be drafted as president at the democratic convention.
well, this is no longer a rumor.
on the hannity & colmes show last night, foxnews, this 'rumor' was confirmed to be true.. the reason for the public silence (not told on the show) but by the rumor mill, is to keep hillary on a low profile, not to create a public stir.

"they are very much more sincere about their public service than the group in the white house now" Now, that's a real howler. The only thing the Clinton's have ever been interested in is serving themselves. Their "common man" charade is so funny, they're as elitist as they come.
I know people in Arkansas that know the Clinton's personally and they say Hillary is much, much worse than Bill in any area you care to list.

George Bush in 04
Condi Rice in 08 & 12
Cheney's health wouldn't hold up and he doesn't have the charisma to be President.
Dean is a lunatic and Hillary is pure evil.

THEY'VE DONE IT!!!! The WBTS set a new date!
by dmouse inthe latest watchtower, dec 15th 2003, is an out and out attack on the rank and file for dropping into a drowsy state spiritually.
ok, so armageddon didn't come before the generation of 1914 grew old and died.
but does that mean that the big a isn't near?

When I first read this article, all my alarm bells went off. However, I'm just as paranoid about this date setting stuff as a lot of the rest of you. If it shows up again, then I think there's definitely a skunk in the wood pile, but I think it's a little premature to start producing the t-shirts yet.

Circuit Assembly Report
by Hapgood incoming out of the lurking mode to give you all a report on the 2 day ca that i attended this past weekend.
i always enjoy other reports that have been posted so i thought i would share my observations.
i attend with my jw hubby to keep him company so he doesn't have to go alone, that's the only reason that i go.. i didn't take any notes, so i'm doing this by memory.

You'd be surprised what it takes to maintain one of those buildings, much less cool and heat it. I've seen the costs and typically they just prorate based on anticipated attendance at the conventions. There is some provision for accumulating funds for major repairs.

Bonham, TX?
by mizpah indoes anyone have any information on what occurred after the society dropped its suit in the bonham kingdom hall dispute?
the last i heard was the society built another kingdom hall.
what ever happened to those in the congregation that sued the society?

The whole deal in Bonham was because an overbearing PO wanted to be boss, and there were a considerable number of people in the congregation that were financially dependent on him, and some relatives as well. He didn't want the Organization telling him what to do, so he split off. This group apparently hasn't prospered. I drove by the place years ago and it was pretty run down, grass wasn't cut, paint was bad, etc. I suspect stultification through inbreeding. The local congregation has done fairly well.
It certainly did cause some excitement at the time. The CO was speaking in terms of physical violence.

A question for those familiar with Bethel Policy and Child Molestation??
by badolputtytat ini cannot go into great detail just yet, because a lot of what i have going with my family hinges on what will happen on the weekend of october 10th.
a short background of this topic before the question: at a very young age.
very young i was sexually abused, by more than one member of our congregation.

This is weird. I know a guy that went to Bethel three years ago that had been dealt with judicially for homosexuality over a number of years, his past was common knowledge among the Elder body. I never have been able to understand how he made it in. I also wonder what he's doing now, can't really believe that he's changd his ways because everything he did while I was around him screamed "gay!".

People don't know how really radical Hillary is. She hung out with some very bad people when she was in university.
